The State funded Non-English Speaking Program (NESP) was first approved by the Indiana General Assembly in 1999. This program provides supplemental funding to eligible school corporations to serve limited English proficient (LEP) students. The purpose of the NESP is to provide English language development instruction to K-12 LEP students to increase their English language proficiency and academic achievement.
