Indicator 6 is a Performance Indicator.
Definition
Percent of children aged 3 through 5 with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) attending a:
A. Regular early childhood program and receiving the majority of special education and related services in the regular early childhood program; and
B. Separate special education class, separate school or residential facility.

Measurement
A. Percent = [(# of children aged 3 through 5 with IEPs attending a regular early childhood program and receiving the majority of special education and related services in the regular early childhood program) divided by the (total # of children aged 3 through 5 with IEPs)] times 100.
B. Percent = [(# of children aged 3 through 5 with IEPs attending a separate special education class, separate school or residential facility) divided by the (total # of children aged 3 through 5 with IEPs)] times 100.
Monitoring Timelines
- Data: Collected through the DOE-SE (Special Education) report on December 1 and submitted to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) via 618 Table 3 in February.
- Findings of Noncompliance: Indiana does not issue findings for Indicator 6.

- Indicator 6 in the FFY 2010 APR (Part B Annual Performance Report): Details about Indiana's statewide results, however, states were not required to report on Indicator 6 for FFY 2010.
