Who serves as the Special Education Mediator?

Mediators are required to:

• Be listed in the Mediator Registry of the Indiana Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education;
• Have no personal or professional conlict of interest regarding the parties;
• Be impartial;
• Have knowledge of laws and regulations relating to the provision of special education and related services;
• Be qualified as determined by the division of special education; and
• Not be an employee of the Department of Education or the school.
